Flipside's Glitter Glam was a blast this year! It is sort of a large scale "Club Libby Lu" experience, complete with a runway fashion show. The little girls come to our church to get their hair and makeup done, dress as a princess, movie star, fashion diva, teeny wahini (hawaiian girl), or rock star. The girls also got to make bracelets, get a temporary tatoo, put on face jewels, make a butterfly craft, make lipgloss, get a goody bag, and eat dinner. 138 girls came this year. Many of the girls in our church invited school friends and neighbors. McKenna went to every station and came home with so many things! McKenna's favorite part was the runway. She and her friends Shannon and Lauren (our new neighbor) walked together, they had practiced their routine at recess. This was by far the best girls event ever! Nothing could be added to make it better. It is a little girl's dream! (Proudly, it was my sister's idea and she organized it!)
