Ethan's 11th Birthday

It's getting harder and harder to come up with birthday ideas that are cool for boys Ethan's age. We had to find a way to match last years Nerf craziness. E really wanted to do a Lazer Tag thing, but then decided to have a sleep over (after we mentioned the idea of TPing-a foreign concept to him). Here's what we did:

1. Invite 12 boys over to spend the nite...I know 12 is nuts-if you add in our boys it was 15!
2. Ask every parent if they are ok with their kid TPing (for all but 1-the first time) and recruit grandpas and uncles to help dad supervise.
3. Take boys on a hike in the hills behind our house.
4. Silly string war (everyone wore protective eye gear-they loved it)
5. Set clocks ahead 2 hours
6. TP orientation-what to wear, how to TP, hiding when cars come by, diagrams, ect.
7. A long movie.
8. Lots of food!!!

We got the Smarts! Love this one of Grace. Kenna spent the nite there, and they were ready for us!

Movie at 10:30pm (they think its 12:30). They all fell asleep by 1am (actual time) and the first one woke up at 7:00am. Not bad! We actually had a great time...they were so good!
